Dear Vegas
I spent a lot of time in you in the next little bit of writing, and I wanted to say you were everything I expected and more.
Each casino is an experience. Going in them, there are so much more than just slot machines and gambling. There is shows, malls, mini malls, restaurants. And this is any casino on the strip. You can literally spend a day in any of them and have a full adventure.
There are girls dressed in scantily clad clothing that charge for pictures. I got to meet some of them, and being genuine, let me tell you, gets you a long way. I got to watch midget wrestling, I did some fun adventures in fremont alone.
But beyond that Vegas, you are a hustler’s dream. There are opportunties seemingly everywhere, and even off the strip, there’s a fun sense of adventure in every corner. You were both everything I expected and nothing like I expected. You truly are a river in the desert.
But I don’t love you. I saw that you too can be cruel at times. My phone broke here because of you, and I lost regular service for months. It cost me my storage locker in Calgary.
But for all that, you were fun. You were a good time on my journey, and I got to meet some lifelong friends, and I got to meet some great people. You’ll read a couple of things about Tim Chizmar here, and the lessons I learned from him. I met Sarah Evans and her mom and spent some time there too. I got to explore Vegas, and I got to have a lot of fun.
If I were to be talked into living the states, this would be the city I’d do it in. As is, I definitely could do it part time. So Vegas, I got to say I enjoyed you. Next time I’ll really let this fly.
You were a great moment in time. Thank you.
Now on to the show.
